BMW Service Dubai – Major & Minor Service Cost
Specialist BMW major service in Dubai from AED 1050. Independent workshop, dealer-level diagnostics, Warranty terms on your quote, free pickup. Get a quote on WhatsApp.
BMW servicing in Dubai splits into two jobs. A minor service is the yearly oil-and-check visit that keeps the engine clean and the warranty story straight. A major service is the bigger one, where filters, plugs and brake fluid all come out together. Most BMW owners in Dubai need a minor service every 10,000 km and a major service every 20,000 km, which is sooner than the car asks for, because 45C heat is hard on oil.
BRITFIX is an independent BMW workshop in Al Quoz. We run the same ISTA+ diagnostic software the dealer uses, so Condition Based Service counters, brake sensors and inspection reminders all reset properly. Genuine BMW and BMW-supplier OE parts as standard, a written quote before any work, free pickup anywhere in Dubai, and a warranty on parts and labour.

BMW major service vs minor service: what you actually get
People search for both, and the two are often mixed up at the counter. Here is the plain version, so you can pick the one your car needs instead of paying for the bigger job every time.
BMW minor service (every 10,000 km or 12 months)
Engine oil and filter using BMW LL-01 or LL-04 spec 5W-30, cabin microfilter check, full fluid top-up, tyre pressure and tread, brake pad and disc measurement, battery health test, 30-point visual inspection, ISTA fault-code scan and CBS reset. Around 90 minutes in the workshop.
BMW major service (every 20,000 km or 24 months)
Everything in the minor service plus engine air filter, cabin microfilter replacement, fuel filter where fitted, spark plugs on petrol engines at their interval, brake fluid change, coolant strength test, drive belt inspection and a road test. Around 3 to 4 hours.
Which one do I need?
If your last full service was under a year ago and the car is under 10,000 km since, take the minor. If the CBS screen shows Vehicle Check or Brake Fluid due, or you cannot remember the last time plugs and filters were done, take the major. We check your service history before quoting and tell you if the smaller job is enough.
What we never put in a service quote
Flush additives, engine treatments and dealer style menu extras that do nothing on a modern BMW. If something genuinely needs doing, it appears on the estimate as a separate line with the reason attached.
Common BMW faults we look for during a service
A service is the cheapest chance to catch a BMW problem before it becomes an engine bill. These are the ones we see week in, week out on UAE cars.
N20 and N26 timing chain stretch
2012 to 2015 F30 328i, X1 and X3 are known for chain guide wear. A rattle for two seconds on a cold start is the warning. Caught early it is a chain and guide kit. Ignored, the chain jumps and bends valves. We listen for it on every cold start and log the timing deviation in ISTA.
VANOS solenoid and seal wear
Rough idle, a flat spot below 2,000 rpm, or codes 2A82 and 2A87 usually mean dirty VANOS solenoids rather than a failed unit. Cleaning and fresh seals fix most cases. Old, thick oil is the main cause, which is why the shortened oil interval matters.
High pressure fuel pump wear (N54, N55, B58)
Long crank when hot, misfire under load, code 29DC. The HPFP is a four hour job and we fit the updated revision, not the original part number that failed the first time.
Valve cover gasket weep
Almost every four cylinder BMW past 60,000 km seeps oil onto the exhaust manifold. Burning smell at idle, faint smoke at the lights. Doing it during a major service saves a second labour charge later.
Electric water pump failure
E90 and F30 pumps fail around 100,000 km and put the car into limp mode in summer traffic. We pressure test the cooling system on every major service and flag a weak pump before it strands you.
Charge pipe and boost leaks on M cars
S55 plastic charge pipes split under boost. We fit the upgraded aluminium pipe rather than the same plastic part again.
What changes the price of a BMW service in Dubai
We quote ranges rather than one fixed number because these five things move the figure. You get the exact price in writing before we start.
Engine and oil capacity
A B48 four cylinder takes around 5.2 litres. An N63 or S68 V8 takes closer to 9 litres of LL-04 oil, plus a bigger filter. That alone is a few hundred dirhams of difference.
Whether plugs and filters are due
Spark plugs on a six cylinder add parts and labour. If the car had plugs at the last visit, the major service comes in near the bottom of the range.
Parts choice
Genuine BMW is our default. BMW supplier OE such as Mahle, Mann, Bosch and Pierburg is the same factory part in a different box and saves roughly 20 to 30 percent. We show both prices side by side.
Model and access
An M car or an X7 takes longer than a 3 Series for the same list of jobs, because there is more to remove to reach the parts.
What the inspection finds
Brake fluid past its moisture limit, a leaking gasket or worn pads are quoted separately and only go ahead once you approve them.
BMW service intervals in Dubai by model generation
BMW quotes long intervals in Europe. Dubai traffic, short trips and summer heat shear the oil faster, so we shorten them. The table below is what we recommend for E-series, F-series, G-series and M cars driven mainly in the UAE.
| Model generation | Minor service | Major service | Notes for Dubai |
|---|---|---|---|
| E-series (E90 3 Series, E60 5 Series, E70 X5) | 8,000 km / 12 months | 16,000 km / 24 months | Older seals and plastic cooling parts. Pressure test the cooling system at every major service. |
| F-series (F30 3 Series, F10 5 Series, F15 X5, F80 M3) | 10,000 km / 12 months | 20,000 km / 24 months | N20 chain check on 2012 to 2015 cars. Valve cover gasket weep is common past 60,000 km. |
| G-series (G20 3 Series, G30 5 Series, G05 X5, G07 X7) | 10,000 km / 12 months | 20,000 km / 24 months | CBS often suggests 15,000 km or more. We shorten it because summer heat degrades LL-04 oil faster. |
| M models (S55, S58, S63) | 8,000 km / 6 to 12 months | 16,000 km / 24 months | Track or hard road use means oil every 6 months. Gearbox and diff fluid every 60,000 km. |
| All models: brake fluid | — | Every 24 months | Non negotiable in Dubai humidity. Old fluid absorbs water and the pedal goes long under heavy braking. |
| All models: ZF 8HP gearbox oil | — | Every 60,000 to 80,000 km | BMW calls it lifetime fluid. In UAE heat it is not. Fresh fluid and filter prevents mechatronic wear. |
Intervals are our Dubai recommendations, not the factory European schedule. We reset the Condition Based Service counters to match.
